Toula Favreau is the founder of Acanthus Interiors. She is naturally meticulous in all that she undertakes and strives to fill her life, and the lives of her clients, with beauty.
Her earlier career as a translator introduced her to vibrant cities such as Montreal and Paris. Residing in France for almost a decade influenced Toula beyond measure. She was fortunate enough to be surrounded by inspiring, creative people who shared their expertise in architecture, furniture building, art, and culture, and it is during this time that she developed a discerning eye for quality and craftsmanship.
Her switch to interior decorating was a logical progression that friends and family describe as a 'good fit.'
Toula's credentials include a full diploma in interior decorating as well as BCIT training in computer-aided design. She is also an accredited member of the Canadian Decorators' Association (CDECA) as well as a member of the Real Estate Staging Association (RESA).
Before starting her own business in 2007, Toula worked as an interior design assistant at a bustling Vancouver firm where she collaborated on 11 projects over a two-year period.
Since then, at the helm of her own company, she has skillfully lead a variety of projects that have contributed to her keen understanding of both the design and renovation processes.
